The Plague...pretty sure

I'm pretty sure we have some sort of bubonic plague or black death or something...

I don't mean to complain, but, really???
The only person, so far, that hasn't gotten sick is Spencer. He is now saying to us, "So, my ocd and weird, crazy habits aren't so bad after all!" He is referring to his obsessive use of hand sanitizer and his insistence that nobody touch his skin. I suppose he's right!

So...since it's my blog...wah wah boo hoo complain whine....now I'm going to go gargle some more vinegar...blech!

NOT the Plague...so they say....

So yesterday I ended up taking Joseph in to the pediatrician. . I took Elizabeth with us, but didn't have an appointment for her. I'm already taking stuff for strep throat, so I was thinking that Joseph probably had it as well. The doctor felt horrible for the poor boy. He has viral pink eye in both eyes, the inside if one of his ears was swollen and had fluid, and she said strep from looking, but the rapid strep test came back negative, so he was sent home with strict offers to sleep, drink fluids, and take Advil and Tylenol. She gave Izdet a quick once over and said she was on the mend, but make her rest too. The doctor said that what the kids have are most likely all viral, but a very rotten strain. She also noted that Joseph has been an extremely healthy child the past 12 years, so his body could be reacting more violently to all of the germs and stuff in his body.

So...it's not the plague, but it has sure been miserable around here. I can't remember the past time I've felt this poopy! Our house....oh, our poor little house. It looks like a tornado came through it. I'm not looking forward to catching up once I feel better. Ha!

Here's to being grateful that we are on the mend, and hoping that nobody else catches it.

I leave you with doctor photos....

School, Work, and the Plague!

Everyone is sick around here! Well,  luckily Travis and Spencer have avoided it so far, but this stuff is nasty! I'm thinking it could be the plague...okay, maybe not, but still!...I may have to make a trip to the pediatricians office soon if I don't see some improvement around here! As for me...I would like to thank my Heavenly Father for putting me on this earth now instead of in, I don't know... 1420...cause I woke up feeling like death warmed over, but after taking a small handful of little pills, I am feeling much more human! Now, I love reading and watching all about people that lived a long time ago....but I'm really glad I live in a time with Advil!

Needless to say, I am feeling confident that we will all pull through this and live to see another day. (And I cross my fingers and toes that nobody else gets it)

In other news...today is my first day of college. I start as a junior at Eastern Oregon University today! Yeehaw! I've noticed at 8:30am, that two of my professors have yet to post the syllabi for their classes. They better get on the stick, cause I'm pretty sure when due dates for homework come up, they are gonna be a naggin' me!

Oh, and have I mentioned that Travis is now working at the Port Angeles Walgreens? I will miss him being in Sequim, but this could be a great opportunity for him to grow and also show them what he knows. I'm very proud of him and his accomplishments with Walgreens. I hope that they can be our company for a really long time!

So that is the extent of the news for the time being. Stay tuned for updates on whether we all survive the plague or not! I  leave you with sad pictures of sick children. ( Izdet and Joseph)

Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park in Port Angeles got lots of thumbs up!
And just cause....we left our gate open, so the deer are venturing in and eating the weeds by the fence. Cool!

It's June!

 So far in June....
I caught this awesome action...seagulls vs bald eagle. I love where I live!
We went to the library...it's been forever since we've gone!
Slumber parties galore!
I scrubbed down the siding on the house.
Lawn mowing, caterpillar watching, fun in the sun!

Since we do school year round, I try to make the summer fun! We start our fun stuff on Monday! Then...drumroll..........I start college on the 24th! Me...old lady, going back to school! I'm so excited! I have already gotten a jump start on one class, a phsyc class Stress and Diseases. Absolutely fascinating so far!

So...bring on the summer!

Sunday

Okay...WHAT THE HECK?  All of my pictures keep coming out sideways! Grrrr...I will fix it...as soon as I figure out what the hay is going on! Sorry in advance for the crick in your neck. Sheesh!

A bit of our Sunday. Elizabeth had loads of fun in Sunbeam class. I love that I get to be her teacher! We have such a fun little group of 4 year olds that I love so much!

Joseph needed to go and collect fast offerings after church, so I took him around. I'm so proud of him and the good choices that he keeps making. He is an amazing boy...I mean young man. Oh, and Elizabeth fell asleep waiting in the car.
