This Week...

On Friday I earned my 10% key chain. I'm down 23.4 pounds now. I'm a third of the way to my goal.
Elizabeth was looking at my phone and saying, "take my picture!"
Saturday, Joseph went on his first youth Temple trip. We were very proud of him for choosing to go. He wasn't sure he wanted to, because the thought of  going all the way under the water is terrifying to him, ever since he nearly drowned a couple of years ago. After a lot of thought and the knowledge that no matter what his choice, we would support him, he decided to go. He did two baptisms. He said after the first he nearly panicked, but he wanted to do at least one more. He said he thought of the people in heaven that he would be helping and found the courage to do another. To some people, this may sound silly, but to him, this was a big personal accomplishment. The day he and Spencer nearly drowned is still one of those times that neither Travis nor I can talk about or think about.
Anyway...he had a wonderful time. He went with the youth and youth leaders (all who are very wonderful), and it was a good experience for him. Everyone told me that Joseph's favorite part of the entire trip was dinner. They went to Old Country Buffet. I can only imagine how much in heaven he was. He said he tried a little of everything that he could. Funny kid.
We are proud of the fine young man that he is becoming.

Wait!!!!!!
I just realized I didn't post any pictures from Spencer's birthday! He turned 11 on April 30th. He had a Doctor Who themed birthday (that's my boy!!!)

His cake. The TARDIS and daleks.
The birthday boy. He even got a mini sonic screwdriver flashlight!

And......
....just because I saw this on the desktop...so cute!

Spring!

Walking on a trail we stopped to watch some horses...
On my morning walk, I couldn't help but take a picture of our cute little house and all the surrounding green!
Lizbet wanted to wash the van by herself...and did.
We stayed up late and watched the stars.
And rode bikes.
Yay for a warm, sunny spring!!!!

It's Hump Day!

Happy Wednesday! Travis had the day off so we decided to take the kids out. We first went through a car wash, then to Wal-Mart where I got myself some sports bras, then to the park for a long hike thru the woods. It was beautiful...until Travis's new phone started acting up and he decided that we needed to go see if they could fix it. (They ended up trading it, and we still aren't sure he's got one that is perfect.) But the walk was still beautiful!

Speaking of phones...we were finally able to upgrade, so we said goodbye to our dinosaurs (Samsung Fascinate) and hello to Samsung S3. (Yes. We know there's a new S4 being released....which is why we got our S3 for a steal of a deal!) I got the white this time and have a pinkish purple cover on it.  Travis got the blue.

Let's see...I keep forgetting to mention Weight Watchers....I have lost every single week so far... 16.8 pounds in 6 weeks.

I have renewed my interest in Doctor Who...I watched a few episodes a while back. I liked quite a bit, but I didn't quite understand it, so a couple of weeks ago, when I noticed that they now have the first 6 seasons on Netflix, I started at the beginning. Now I understand it all and I am so so hooked! I showed Spencer because he and I like a lot of the same things. Now he's hooked. Haha. Good old British shows. (Yes, I've watched Downton...no, I'm not hooked on it...sorry)

Anyway, that's all the news I have for now. Happy hump day

I Hate Coming Up With A Title

I really do hate thinking of a title sometimes. I'm not trying to sound all negative...just sometimes...a title isn't necessary. That is my small rant. :-)

Treats I made our friends that are awesome peeps!
My cute little twerp!
This is 14.2 pounds...the amount of weight that I have lost in 4 weeks.
This is me and my face that I think I can tell... just a tiny bit...that is smaller.

Peppo's blog

Spencer decided that now that he has his own personal computer...sorry...an ipad...he needed to update his blog more often. He's so cute. We are happy to encourage him, because he needs an outlet to express all of his interests...otherwise, he talks non stop for literally hours to anyone who will listen! I love our little man with the big brain!

A Touch of Spring

At Weight Watchers I lost another 3 pounds..that makes 12.2 total so far. Woot! And that was after a very yucky week of dealing with a urinary tract infection.

Today Travis had the kids help pick up the yard a bit and then he mowed the front. Ahhhhh....spring is on its way! I can not wait for the weather to warm up just a few degrees more...then we will go try out that new park I discovered in Sequim. For once I'm looking forward to the warm weather because by summer I may actually fit into something besides a mumu.

WW Stuff and a Car

Well, it's week three of going to Weight Watchers...my second weigh in (cause week one doesn't count!) I lost 3 pounds...that equals a total of -9.2 in two weeks. Not too shabby!
Since it's kind of consumed my thoughts and time lately, that's what I'm gonna blog about....
This is how Elizabeth rolls at the WW meetings. The meetings are so tiny compared to when I went to Kent. I really love them so far though. They have this cute little blue child chair that Elizabeth sits in. Here she is, in her little chair, watching "Brave" and eating goldfish crackers. Everyone loves her there.
My family has been pretty supportive this time through, which I am really grateful for because losing weight and getting healthy is friggin hard! I have been walking every day, and if I walk in the afternoon, I take at least a couple of kids. Yesterday, Lizbet wanted to dress up for the walk. She cracks me up!
Early in the mornings when I walk alone...I'm not ever really alone. Today I had a half dozen deer to keep me company. Have I said how much I LOVE living here lately???
Product Reviews:
I know water is the most important thing to drink, and I have a purple Brita pitcher and a purple Brita travel bottle...but, sometimes I need to mix it up. (especially since I'm now barely drinking Diet Coke)  At Walgreen's, they have this really yummy sparkling water. The orange mango is AWESOME! Plus, since it's a Walgreen's brand...I get 15% off, so it only cost me 85 cents. So, if you are looking for a carbonated drink...here is a yummy one.

Even though I gave up my Diet Coke (mostly), I need a
source of caffeine once in a while. Plus, I am a huge
believer in the B vitamins for energy, so I grabbed this
at Walmart. It is really yummy and gives me just the
right amount of energy. Not jittery at all.

AND LASTLY...
(is lastly a word?...I like it, so I'll use it) Travis's car died...again. This time is was his starter. So, we ordered a new one, had it delivered, and then the super wonderful, marvelously fabulous friend of ours...Jason Minnoch, showed up in his gigantic truck, hooked up our car, towed it to his shop, and fixed our car right up. Jason is amazing and funny and a perfect match for Travis. Those two are funny and very naughty together! ha! This picture is of Jason's big truck....and two of our boys (Joseph and Connor) helping push the car into the street. When they got done pushing the car, they came running in, so excited..."Did you see us PUSHING THE CAR???!!!!!"

That pretty much sums up my week. Off to go buy some salad and chicken breast!

Stuff

  Totally random stuff...
I made Lizbet a fort around her bed (she has the bottom bunk). She watched movies and ate treats.
One day we just decided to drive to Forks for fun. (It's about 55 miles away) Be jealous all you Twilight fans. ;-)
The hideous and disgusting, brown, very old, wood toilet seat broke off...so I replaced it all by myself.
Joseph made a cheesecake pie for FHE. He was very proud of himself and requested a photo.
Elizabeth gave her first talk in Primary. She was absolutely adorable.
I started going to Weight Watchers again. I really missed it and I really, really love the new program they have. I've been having fun inventing and trying out new recipes. This is chicken that sat in the crockpot with a jar of salsa all day, got shredded, then was rolled up in a warm little corn tortilla with a little bit of shredded cheese and lite sour cream. Oh my goodness was it good...thank you very much!

Oh...and week two, second weigh in...I lost 6.2 pounds! Take that, fat!
I've been walking almost every morning. Today, I walked twice cause my kids were driving me bonkers. The wind was blowing like a gazillion miles an hour, but I didn't care. They ended up having lots of fun in the end. This picture cracks me up because the *gasp* sun was shining in their little albino faces!
